A+ Homemade Granola

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Place oats, flax seeds, almonds and wheat germ in a baking sheet.
  3. Toast for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. In a saucepan, on medium heat, combine: honey, sugar, butter, vanilla and almond extracts, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  5. Stir occasionally and cook until the brown sugar dissolves.
  6. Reduce oven temperature to 300F.
  7. In a mixing bowl, combine toasted ingredients with liquid mixture while it's still hot.
  8. Add cranberries to the bowl.
  9. Pour onto a greased 9x9" baking dish.
  10. Spread evenly and press down.
  11. Bake for 25 minutes.
  12. Let it cool COMPLETELY before cutting into squares.
  13. Stored in an airtight container, these keep well for up to a week.
