Ham Jambalaya Recipe

  2. Heat oil in 12-inch skillet over moderate heat.
  3. Add in onions, green peppers and garlic and cook for 5 min, or possibly till onions are soft.

  5. Add in the ham and rice and stir till the rice is well coated with oil - approximately 1 minute.

  7. Add in the thyme, salt, red pepper, tomatoes and broth.
  8. Cover and simmer 20-25 min.
  9. Check after 15 min and add in 1/4 c. water if it seems dry.
  10. Serve with green salad and crusty bread.
  11. NOTE: You can substitute cooked chicken or possibly turkey for company.
  12. Add in 1 lb.
  13. shelled crabmeat during the last 10 min or possibly cooking.
  14. Serves 4.
