Bolognese at It Best

  1. cook bacon until crisp in large dutch oven or pan, remove grease.
  2. add olive oil add onion celery carrot and garlic and saute til soft 10 minutes.
  3. remove casings from sausage and add to pot along with ground beef.
  4. cook until no longer pink.
  5. add tomato paste and stir til blended.
  6. add red wine and 1 cup beef broth cook until reduced to thick paste.
  7. add milk, crushed tomato's1 cup beef broth and all herbs,salt and pepper.
  8. simmer on low heat 2-3 hours.
