Marinated Beef Brisket
- 1 can (10 Oz. Size) Beef Consomme
- 5 ounces, fluid Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 6 pounds Beef Brisket
- 1 dash Paprika
- 1/2 cups Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Liquid Smoke
- 1/2 cups White Vinegar
- 3/4 cups Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Marinade (reserved From Above)
- Note: Cooking time may vary: Use meat thermometer it is done when it reaches 160 degrees F.
- Mix first 4 ingredients together.
- Place brisket in a covered pan or plastic bag.
- Pour marinade over it.
- Marinate in refrigerator 8 hours or overnight.
- Drain and save 1 cup of marinade.
- Sprinkle paprika on brisket.
- Wrap tight in aluminum foil and roast for 4 hours at 325 degrees (F).
- (Cook till 160 degrees F).
- Mix together last 5 ingredients for the sauce and bring to a boil.
- Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Thinly slice brisket, place in pan and put sauce over it.
- Bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees (F).
