Achiote oil or annato seed oil
- 1 cup oil, I use olive but you can also use vegetable
- 6 tbsp annato seeds
- In small saucepan heat oil and seeds on low-medium heat.
- Let simmer 15 minutes.
- Remove seeds and pour oil into a small air tight container.
- I like glass.
- Use oil to flavor chicken or pork dishes.
- A delicious latin flair!
- Oil can last for two weeks, use before that, that's why I make small batches.
- Store in cool, dry place.
