Best Ever Peanut Brittle Recipe

  1. Butter baking sheet before you start and keep it handy.
  2. Mix peanuts, sugar and syrup together in a heavy saucepan.
  3. Bring to boil stirring constantly.
  4. Wipe down sides with a damp pastry brush and cook without stirring to a hard crack stage (300 degrees).
  5. Remove from heat immediately and quickly stir in soda.
  6. It's suppose to foam so do not worry.
  7. Pour quickly onto buttered baking sheet.
  8. When cooled sufficient to touch stretch as thin as possible.
  9. When cold break into pcs.
  10. Store in airtight container.
