Diamond Chocolate Walnut Toffee Bars

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. In bowk, beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until creamy.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, and 1/2 cup walnuts.
  4. Spread lightly into lightly buttered 13x9-inch pan.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  6. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate pieces and let stand for 5 minutes.
  7. Spread chocolate over cookie base.
  8. Sprinkle with remaining walnuts and press lightly.
  9. Cool.
  10. Cut into bars.
