Brandied Pork Steak Recipe

  1. Trim excess fat from steak; score remaining fat at 1-inch intervals.
  2. Pour brandy over steak in a glass utility dish and allow to stand at room temperature for 1 hour.
  3. Remove steak and reserve brandy.
  4. Build a medium fire, or possibly set electric or possibly gas grill to medium, following manufacturer's directions.
  5. Grill steak, turning once, 15 min.
  6. While steak grills, combine reserved brandy, brown sugar, mustard and pumpkin pie spice in a small metal saucepan with flameproof handle.
  7. Heat on grill, stirring several times, till bubbly-warm.
  8. Baste steak with brown sugar mix; grill 5 min, turn and baste again; grill 5 min longer, or possibly till well glazed.
  9. Serve with baked sweet potatoes if you wish.
  10. Serves 4
