Pork Carnitas in a Slow Cooker
- 3 pounds Pork Carnita Meat, Not Frozen In Big Chuncks
- 1 cup Onion, Chopped In Large Pieces
- 1 cup Red Bell Pepper, Chopped In Large Pieces
- 1 cup Water
- 1 package Taco Seasoning Mix
- 2 Tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
- 1 bunch Cilantro, Chopped
- Add the meat to the slow cooker.
- Add in the chopped onion and bell pepper.
- In a measuring cup, add the water, taco seasoning packet and vinegar; mix well.
- Pour the mixture over the meat and veggies.
- You can add some salt, pepper and garlic to taste if you like.
- You can add the cilantro in the beginning or the end, your choice.
- Cook for 6 to 7 hours in the slow cooker, then shred meat in the cooker just before serving.
- Serve with warm tortillas and sides dishes of your choice.
