Chocolate Mousse Dessert Recipe
- 12 ounce. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 2 Large eggs, beaten
- 4 Large eggs, separated
- 2 pt. whipping cream, whipped
- Powdered sugar
- 2 pkg. lady fingers
- Heat chocolate morsels in double boiler and set aside to cold.
- In large bowl, add in cooled chocolate to 2 beaten Large eggs.
- Whip 4 egg whites till peaked.
- Fold into chocolate mix.
- Beat egg yolks and fold into chocolate mix.
- Whip cream adding sufficient powdered sugar to sweeten to taste.
- Fold 1/2 of whipped cream into chocolate mix.
- Line sides of springform pan with lady fingers, also pressing lady fingers into bottom of pan.
- Pour mousse mix into springform pan spreading proportionately.
- Top with remainder of whipped cream.
- Chill 24 hrs before serving.
- Serves 10-12.
