Pepparkakor (Ginger Cookies)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 cup boiling water
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dark molasses
- 12 teaspoon ginger
- 12 teaspoon clove
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 3 cups flour
- Dissolve baking soda in the boiling water.
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Roll very thin.
- Cut dough with a cookie cutter.
- Bake at 325 degrees until light brown.
- Watch carefully, as cookies brown very quickly.
