Pie Crust (Freeze Able) Recipe
- 5 c. flour
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 2 c. shortening
- 1 egg + sufficient water to equal 1 c.
- Makes 6 crusts, sufficient for 3 (2 crust) pies.
- Sift flour and salt together, remove 1 1/3 c. flour mix to a smaller bowl.
- Cut shortening into remaining flour till small pcs appear.
- To the flour in the small bowl, add in the egg mix and mix well, then add in to the flour mix.
- Blend well.
- Roll out crusts.
- To put in freezer: Divide into crust size, flatten, wrap and freeze, use within 2 months.
- To assure an even browning crust, rub the top with a little lowfat milk.
