Whole Wheat Shrimp Alfredo
- 8 ounces, weight Whole Wheat Pasta
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Flour
- 2 cups Milk
- 1 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic, Minced
- 1 pound Shrimp, Peeled And Deveined
- Boil pasta according to package directions.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter.
- Whisk in flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- SLOWLY add in milk, stirring until smooth.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium and cook for 5 minutes, or until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheese, salt and pepper to taste.
- In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink.
- Do not overcook.
- Add shrimp to alfredo sauce and serve over pasta.
