Whole Wheat Shrimp Alfredo

  1. Boil pasta according to package directions.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter.
  3. Whisk in flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. SLOWLY add in milk, stirring until smooth.
  5. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium and cook for 5 minutes, or until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in cheese, salt and pepper to taste.
  7. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  8. Add garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
  9. Add shrimp and cook until pink.
  10. Do not overcook.
  11. Add shrimp to alfredo sauce and serve over pasta.
