Blackberry And Apple Crumble Recipe
- 1 lb tart baking apples Healthy pinch of sugar
- 1 lb blackberries 3 heaped c.
- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. butter
- 2/3 c. rolled oats
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- Wipe the apples and cut them in quarters, then remove the cores and slice each piece in two.
- (You can peel them if you prefer your apples this way)
- If you can't find Blackberries substitute with your favorite berries
- Put them in a pan.
- Taste a slice for sweetness, and add in a sprinkling of sugar accordingly.
- Add in a Tbsp.
- of water and cook over medium heat for about 5 min, till the apples start to soften.
- Throw in the blackberries and transfer to a shallow baking dish.
- Whiz the flour and butter in a food processor for a few seconds 'til the mix looks like crumbs.
- Stir in the oats and the brown sugar and scatter the mix over the cooked apples and blackberries.
- Bake in a preheated 400 f oven for 30 min, or possibly till crisp on top.
- Serve with cream.
