Varadero

• 2 ounces fresh lemon juice
• 2 ounces simple syrup (1 part sugar, 1 part water)
• crushed ice
• 3 ounces dark rum
• carbonated lemon-lime beverage (7-Up is recommended) or soda water (7-Up is recommended)
• fresh pineapple, wedge

1. Blend the lemon juice and the syrup in an old-fashioned glass.
2. Add the ice and the rum.
3. Fill the glass to the top with 7-Up or soda water.
4. Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
