Grandmothers Famous Cranberry Bread
- 6 cups flour
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 teaspoons salt
- 1 12 teaspoons baking soda
- 34 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 3 teaspoons orange peel
- 2 14 cups orange juice
- 4 12 cups cranberries
- Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda into a large bowl.
- Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
- Add egg, orange peel, and orange juice all at once; stir just until mixture is evenly moist.
- Chop cranberries Fold in cranberries to bread dough mixture.
- Spoon into a greased 9X5X3 inch loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Remove from pan; cool on a wire rack.
