Pear and Leaf Salad

  1. Prepare the dressing in a flat serving dish, mixing lemon juice, oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Peel the pears and cut them lengthwise into eight slices each, removing the cores.
  3. Turn the slices in the dressing, ensuring that the pear pieces are all well coated in order to avoid discoloration.
  4. Just before serving, toss the pear pieces with the salad leaves.
  5. You can make this salad with figs, washed or peeled and cut into quarters.
