Cheddar Topped Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese
- 2-1/4 cups hot water
- 1 pkg. (14 oz.) KRAFT Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
- 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper or black pepper
- 1-1/2 cups KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided
- 1 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
- 1/4 cup crushed crackers
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
- Whisk water, Cheese Sauce from Pouch and pepper in 1-1/2 quart casserole.
- Stir in dry Pasta and 1 cup of the cheddar cheese; cover with lid.
- Bake at 375F for 30 minutes.
- Uncover; stir in sour cream.
- Mix remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, crackers and melted butter.
- Sprinkle over casserole.
- Bake an additional 10 minutes, uncovered.
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
