Black Forest Bread Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine first four ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in cranberries, and make a well in center of mix.
  4. Combine water and coffee granules; add in buttermilk and next 5 ingredients, stirring well with a whisk.
  5. Add in to flour mix, stirring just till moist.
  6. Spoon batter into 8 x 4-inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 min or possibly till wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Cold 10 min in pan on a wire rack; remove from pan.
  9. Cold completely on wire rack.
  10. NOTES :* I used the same amount of dry cherries, that is more Black Forest-ish...
  11. Delurking for a day.
  12. Made this bread (more like cake!)
  13. today and couldn't wait for it to cold before we cut into it.
  14. Yummy!
