Chicken Parmigiana
- 2 whole Chicken Breasts (skinless And Boneless)
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt And Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons Oregano
- 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 4 cups Tomato Based Sauce, Store Bought Or Homemade
- 4 slices Your Favorite Cheese, Such As Provolone, Swiss, Etc.
- Place the 2 chicken breasts in a small baking dish.
- Generously salt and pepper each one.
- Then graciously sprinkle with oregano and the garlic powder.
- Fill the pan with the sauce until the chicken breasts are completely covered.
- Bake at 350F for about 45 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the oven and cover each chicken breast with your favorite cheese.
- I used some leftover slices of Swiss cheese that needed to be used up.
- I really dont like to waste food.
- Bake for another 5-10 minutes, just until the cheese is melted and gooey.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes or so.
- Serve over pasta, with a salad and garlic bread.
- I prefer mine with a glass of wine.
- For all of us single girls, gobble up one chicken breast for dinner, take the other to work for lunch or another evening meal later in the week.
- Enjoy!
