Apple Crumb Pie

  1. Preheat oven 450F.
  2. Pour pie filling into pastry shell.
  3. Sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with 1 Tablespoon butter.
  4. Melt remaining butter.
  5. Place cookie crumbs in a small bowl; stir in butter until coarse crumbs form.
  6. Sprinkle over filling.
  7. Cover edges of pastry loosely with foil.
  8. Bake at 450F for 10 minutes.
  9. Reduce heat to 350 F.; remove foil and bake for 40-45 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling bubbly.
  10. Cool on a wire rack for at least 2 hours.
