Barbecued Country Style Spareribs
- 2 md. Onions; thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp. Butter
- margarine; melted
- 1 lg. Clove garlic; minced
- 1/2 cup Celery; chopped
- 1 cup Catsup
- 3/4 cup ;water
- 1 tsp. Dry mustard
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Pepper
- 2 tbsp. Brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. Vinegar
- 2 tbsp. Lemon juice
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3-1/2 lb. Country-style spareribs
- Saute onion in butter until golden brown; stir in next 11 ingredients.
- Bring sauce to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes.
- Place ribs, meaty side up, on a rack in a shallow baking dish.
- Bake at 325 F degrees for about 2 hours or until well done, basting with sauce and turning every 30 minutes.
- Yield: 4 servings.
