Pork Chops and Brown Rice
- 4 whole Pork Chops (with Or Without Bone)
- 2 Tablespoons Butter, Divided Use
- 1 box (5.8oz) Beef Flavored Rice-A-Roni Rice/Vermicelli
- 2- 1/2 cups Water
- In a large skillet, brown pork chops well in 1 tablespoon butter.
- Once cooked about half-through, remove to a plate.
- Add rice-vermicelli mix and 1 tablespoon butter to the same skillet.
- (Dont wash it first!
- We dont want to lose all those pork-flavored bits of goodness!).
- Saute over medium heat until vermicelli is golden brown, stirring frequently.
- Slowly stir in the water and Special Seasonings (included in the box of rice); bring to a boil.
- Return pork chops to the skillet, nestling them down in the rice, covered by the water as much as possible.
- Cover and reduce heat to low.
- Simmer about 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Turn pork chops once halfway through cooking.
