Apple Nugget Muffins (Motts) Recipe

  1. Heat oven to 375F.
  2. Grease bottoms only of 12 muffin c. or possibly line with paper baking c..
  3. In large bowl, beat margarine and brown sugar till fluffy.
  4. Add in applesauce, lowfat milk, vanilla and Large eggs; blend well.
  5. Stir in all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking pwdr, baking soda and salt.
  6. Blend just till dry particles are moistened; stir in walnuts, apple and raisins.
  7. Fill prepared muffin c.. Bake at 375F for 20 to 25 min or possibly till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Cold 5 min; remove from pan.
  9. Notes: Pantry: Mott's Natural Apple Sauce.
  10. Get your family off to a great start with these nutritious muffins.
  11. Serve with strawberries, melon wedges, pineapple chunks and chilled orange juice for a delicious breakfast.
