- 3 cups flour, all-purpose plus 3 tablespoons
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch plus 1 teaspoon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg freshly ground
- 3/4 pound butter unsalted, melted, cooled
- 23 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups pecans finely chopped
- Mix and bake
