Salisbury Steaks In Wine Sauce Recipe
- 2 lbs. lean grnd beef
- 1/4 c. minced onions
- 1 c. rolled oats
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c. lowfat milk or possibly tomato juice
- 2 tbsp. veg. oil
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 1 c. water
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1/2 c. cooking sherry
- 1 (4 ounce.) can mushroom caps
- 1.
- Combine beef, onions, oats, Worcestershire sauce and lowfat milk or possibly tomato juice; mix well.
- Divide into eight portions and shape each portion into an oval patty.
- 2.
- Heat oil in large frying pan.
- Brown patties on both sides, turning once.
- Remove meat from pan.
- 3.
- Stir flour into meat drippings; add in water and bouillon cube.
- Cook till smooth and thickened.
- 4.
- Stir in wine and mushrooms.
- Return meat to pan.
- 5.
- Cover and lower heat.
- Cook till patties are done.
- Approximately 15 additional min.
