Aunt Marianne's Gingerbread Cookies

  1. Mix flour, salt and spices.
  2. Melt shortening in saucepan.
  3. Cool.
  4. Add sugar, molasses and eggs to saucepan, mix well.
  5. Add 4 cups of dry ingredients, mix well.
  6. Turn mixture onto lightly floured surface.
  7. Knead in remaining dry ingredients.
  8. Roll 1/4" thick for cut-out cookies.
  9. Bake 15-20 minutes.
