Chocolate Dipped Citrus Ribbons
- 1 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 Land O Lakes Egg
- 1 tablespoon orange juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white baking chips
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 cup real semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Combine all cookie ingredients except flour in bowl.
- Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
- Add flour; beat at low speed until well mixed.
- Fit cookie press with ribbon template.
- Fill cookie press with dough.
- Press long continuous strips of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet; score with knife every 3 inches.
- Bake 7-9 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
- Cut or break apart on scored lines.
- Cool completely.
- Melt white baking chips and 1 tablespoon shortening in 1-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, 3-4 minutes or until smooth.
- Melt chocolate chips and remaining shortening in another 1-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, 3-4 minutes or until smooth.
- Pour melted mixtures side by side into shallow dish; swirl with knife for marbled effect.
- Dip one end of each cookie into marbled mixture.
- Place cookies on cooling rack over waxed paper to set.
