Hira-Ten (Satsuma-age) Kinpira

  1. To prep: Cut the satsuma-age into short sticks, place in a sieve and pour boiling water over to remove the excess oil.
  2. Heat the sesame oil and chili pepper over low heat until fragrant.
  3. Be careful not to burn the chili peppers.
  4. Once fragrant, add the satsuma-age.
  5. Stir-fry until light brown.
  6. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix.
  7. It's done when the liquid is cooked out.
