Hira-Ten (Satsuma-age) Kinpira
- 8 Satsuma-age
- 1 Red chili peppers (sliced into rounds)
- 1 dash Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- To prep: Cut the satsuma-age into short sticks, place in a sieve and pour boiling water over to remove the excess oil.
- Heat the sesame oil and chili pepper over low heat until fragrant.
- Be careful not to burn the chili peppers.
- Once fragrant, add the satsuma-age.
- Stir-fry until light brown.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and mix.
- It's done when the liquid is cooked out.
