Oatmeal Mountaineering Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In large wisk together applesauce, brown sugar, white sugar, salt, raisins, vanilla, cinnamon, milk, and water.
  3. Mix (with fork or spoon) and fold in whole wheat flour and quick oats.
  4. Put mixture into a sprayed 9x9 pan.
  5. Right before putting into the oven, pour the syrup over the mixture and gently spread evenly with a spatula, so the maple flavor will bake in!
  6. Put in the oven and bake for approximately 35 minutes.
  7. Cut into 9 squares.
