Creamy Milk Chocolate Frosting Recipe
- 1/4 c. Crisco shortening
- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 c. lowfat milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 1/3 c. confectioners' sugar (sift if lumpy)
- Combine melted Crisco, cocoa and salt.
- Then add in lowfat milk and vanilla.
- Fold in sugar in 3 parts.
- Mix till smooth and creamy.
- Add in more sugar to thicken or possibly lowfat milk to thin if needed for good spreading consistency.
- Frost 2 (8 or possibly 9 inch) layers or possibly a 9x13 inch cake.
