Barbequed Hot Dogs
- 6 -12 hot dogs (I prefer Hebrew National, but feel free to choose your own!)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion (diced finely)
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 12 cup ketchup
- 12 cup water
- 14 cup white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard (wet)
- Saute diced onion in butter until clear (not brown!
- ).
- Add ketchup, water, sugar, vinegar and mustard.
- Bring to boil and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot!
- (But be sure to save any leftovers, you'll want them tomorrow!
