Triple Apple Praline Pie Recipe

  1. Prepare pie crusts according to package directions for a filled 2-crust pie, using a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. Arrange apple slices and lemon rind in pie shell and set aside.
  3. Combine 1/3 c. corn syrup, 2 Tbsp.
  4. butter, sugar, cornstarch and apple pie spices.
  5. Pour over apple slices in pie shell.
  6. Combine brown sugar, pecans, remaining corn syrup and remaining 3 Tbsp.
  7. of butter.
  8. Spoon 1/3 c. of mix over apple slices.
  9. Unfold remaining pie crusts sheet.
  10. Using a floured cutter, cut out desired shapes of crust.
  11. (An apple cutout works best.)
  12. Reserve the cutouts.
  13. Place pie crust (which has been cut out) over filling.
  14. fold the edges over and flute.
  15. Attach reserved cutouts to top of the pie with water.
  16. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 min.
  17. Remove from oven and spread remaining brown sugar mix over top of crust.
  18. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake an additional 15 min.
  19. Cold completely before serving.
