BBQ Beans

  1. In heavy 4 quart dutch oven, brown the lean ground beef.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until onion starts to become transparent.
  3. At this point, if you wish, you can strain any fat from the pan and return the beef and onion mixture to the dutch oven.
  4. Add the sliced kielbasa and all beans to the pan.
  5. In medium bowl, combine the sugar, brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, salt and pepper.
  6. Stir until well combined and add all to the meat and beans.
  7. Mix well and place the pan in 350F oven and bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes to an hour, or until good, hot and bubbling, stirring occasionally.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool ten minutes before serving.
  9. Alternately, this can be prepared and then cooked in a slow cooker instead of a conventional oven for those on-the-go pot luck dinners.
