Taco Bake Recipe
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 pkg. taco mix
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 (12 ounce.) can whole kernel corn
- 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 2 c. corn chips
- 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
- Cook beef in skillet till browned.
- Pour off excess fat.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in taco mix and cornstarch.
- Add in undrained corn, tomato sauce and water.
- Cook, stirring, till mix reaches a boil.
- Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 15 min, stirring once or possibly twice.
- Add in half the corn chips to beef mix; pour into greased 2-qt casserole.
- Top with remaining corn chips and cheese.
- Bake in 400 degree oven 10 min.
- Makes 5 or possibly 6 servings.
