Pear Crisp

  1. Toss pears with orange juice; place in a greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish.
  2. Combine the sugar, cinnamon, allspice and ginger; sprinkle over the pears.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar and baking powder; cut in butter until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle over pears.
  5. Bake at 350F for 35-40 minutes or until topping is golden brown and fruit is tender.
  6. Serve warm.
  7. Garnish with mint and additional pears if desired.
  8. Yield: 12 servings.
