Chocolate Cream Cheese Cookies

  1. Beat 8 oz.
  2. cream cheese with butter, egg and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Melt 1 cup of the chocolate chips.
  4. Stir into batter.
  5. Stir in flour, baking soda and nuts, if desired, along with remaining chocolate chips.
  6. Drop from tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake one dozen at a time in 350F oven 10 to 12 minutes or until firm around the edges.
  8. Remove from sheets; cool.
