Jake's fava fawai (A steamed fava beans knockout)
- 300 grams Fava beans
- 5 green chillies
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 dash salt (or as per ur taste)
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 few curry leaves
- cut the pointed sides of Beans n remove the string off the sides
- slit the chillies into half, which makes it 10 pieces
- cut the beans into small pieces
- In a pan, add the beans, chillies and water and heat it on a cooking stove
- Add salt and turmeric powder and stir it well.
- Close it with a lid and let it cook until the water dry up.
- But make sure you stir it occassionally so that all sides get cooked well.
- Add curry leaves and oil to it and stir well.
- Let it heat on low flame for 5 min and saute in between
- off the flame, cover it with a lid and let it stay under the steam for 5 min before serving.
- Served with rice or bread.

- You can use any oil of your taste, we used coconut oil :-P
