Maple and Sausage Corn Muffins
- 1-1/3 cups white corn meal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. CALUMET Baking Powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 8 oz. ground breakfast sausage,cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup KRAFT Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
- 1/3 cup canned chopped green chiles
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Mix corn meal, flour, baking powder and salt together; set aside.
- In mixer, cream together butter and sugar.
- Beat in eggs.
- Add maple syrup and milk.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.
- Mix until moistened.
- Stir in sausage, cheese and chiles.
- Spoon into greased muffin jumbo tins.
- Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
