Emeril's Mint Julep

  1. Put the mint leaves and the syrup in the bottom of a tall glass.
  2. With the handle of a wooden spoon, crush and mash the leaves to extract the flavor.
  3. Fill the glass with crushed ice.
  4. Pour in the bourbon and Grand Marnier.
  5. With a long-handled spoon, jiggle (don't stir) to chill and mix.
  6. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
  7. Sip.
