Black Bottom Cupcakes

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Beat cream cheese, egg and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in chocolate chunks; set aside.
  4. Prepare cake batter as directed on package.
  5. Spoon into 24 paper-lined muffin cups; top each with heaping teaspoonful of cream cheese mixture.
  6. Combine sugar and nuts; sprinkle over cupcakes.
  7. Bake 20 min.
  8. Cool in pans 10 min.
  9. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
