Ginger Tea with Spices
- One 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
- One 1/2-inch piece of Chinese cinnamon stick
- 4 cardamom pods, smashed open to release seeds
- 5 whole cloves
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
- Honey or sugar
- Put the spices in a teapot.
- Add 4 cups of boiling water and let steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain into cups; sweeten.
