Easy Hot Milk Zenzai in a Mug

  1. Cut the mochi into sixths.
  2. Heat in a toaster oven until they plump up.
  3. The mochi should plump up like this.
  4. You can also do this in a microwave, but the mochi will harden.
  5. That's why I recommend using a toaster oven.
  6. While the mochi is heating up, put all the other ingredients into a mug and mix.
  7. Microwave for 1 minute to heat.
  8. (Please adjust the heating time.)
  9. Add the toasted mochi to finish.
  10. How to Preserve Boiled Adzuki: Fold back the open end of the zip-bag and put the adzuki inside.
  11. Press out the air and close the bag.
  12. Draw a dividing line with a chopstick, and store in a freezer.
  13. You can break a piece when you're using it to make zenzai.
  14. Put it into a mug, mix it with milk, and microwave it.
