Mustard Steaks

  1. Divide beef into 2 steaks.
  2. Season steaks with pepper.
  3. Cook steaks in hot butter, 2 minutes on each side, or more depending on desired doneness.
  4. Season with salt.
  5. Remove steaks to a warm plate.
  6. Add 1T.
  7. butter to pan.
  8. Add shallots and mushrooms and cook until all liquid has evaporated.
  9. Deglaze pan with vodka.
  10. Cook 1 min.
  11. Stir in mustard cook 1 min.
  12. Stir in cream.
  13. Check seasonings.
