Pecan Pie Brownies
- 14 cup butter or 14 cup margarine
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 34 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 (21 1/2 ounce) pakage deluxe fudge brownie mix (Pillsbury suggested)
- 12 cup very hot water
- 14 cup oil
- 1 egg
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease bottom only of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter; stir in flour until smooth.
- Add brown sugar add 2 eggs; mix well.
- Cook over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and pecans.
- Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine brownie ingredients; beat 50 strokes with a spoon.
- Spread in prepared pan.
- Spoon fillling evenly over top.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until set.
- *Do not overbake.
- * Cool completely.
- Cut into 24 bars.
