Pecan Pie Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease bottom only of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter; stir in flour until smooth.
  3. Add brown sugar add 2 eggs; mix well.
  4. Cook over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and pecans.
  6. Set aside.
  7. In a large bowl, combine brownie ingredients; beat 50 strokes with a spoon.
  8. Spread in prepared pan.
  9. Spoon fillling evenly over top.
  10. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until set.
  11. *Do not overbake.
  12. * Cool completely.
  13. Cut into 24 bars.
