Pizza Burgers
- 16 ounces, weight Lean Ground Beef (96/4)
- 1/4 cups Egg Substitute Or Sub 1 Egg For The 1/4 Cup Of Egg Substitute
- 1/2 teaspoons Oregano
- 2 Tablespoons Pizza Sauce Or Spaghetti Sauce
- 2 ounces, weight Mozzarella Cheese, Sliced Thin
- 4 whole Whole Wheat English Muffins Or Hamburger Buns
- 5 whole Basil Leaves
- 1 teaspoon Pizza Sauce
- 4 slices Tomato
- Preheat grill on medium heat.
- Into a bowl, add ground beef, egg, oregano and pizza sauce.
- Mix together until combined.
- Divide the ground beef mixture into 4 equal-sized sections and form each into a patty.
- Place on the grill and cook until done, about 5 minutes per side.
- Add mozzarella cheese to burgers about 1 minute before burgers are done.
- Cook until the cheese is melted.
- Meanwhile, split your English muffins in half and place them on the top part of the grill and cook until lightly toasted, about 1 minute.
- Place Pizza Burger onto the bottom half of each English muffin.
- Top with your favorite toppings.
- Serve immediately
- Optional toppings: Fresh basil leaves, pizza sauce and a slice of tomato.
