Cherry-Vanilla Coffee Cake

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Reserve 1 Tbsp.
  3. granulated sugar for later use; beat butter and remaining granulated sugar in large bowl with mixer until creamy.
  4. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla; beat until blended.
  5. Gradually beat in remaining ingredients except cherries and powdered sugar.
  6. Pour into 9-inch round pan sprayed with cooking spray.
  7. Top with cherries; sprinkle with reserved granulated sugar.
  8. Bake 55 min.
  9. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  10. Cool completely.
  11. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
