Bourbon Street Balls With Pecans Recipe

  1. Roughly chop 4 c. pecans in a food processor.
  2. Remove 2 c. and reserve.
  3. Finely grind the remaining pecans in the food processor.
  4. Combine finely minced pecans, Nilla wafers, confectioners' sugar, bourbon, and syrup.
  5. Coat finger tips with softened butter to help you roll.
  6. Shape mix into balls 1 1/2 inches in diameter using an ice cream scoop.
  7. Roll in minced pecans.
  8. Arrange balls on a dessert platter and serve.
  9. Ask for help rolling.
  10. Four hands make very quick work of this dessert!
  11. This recipe yields 24 to 30 balls.
  12. Yield: 24 to 30 balls
