Bavarian Wiener Supper Recipe
- 1 can sliced wieners (slice into circles)
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise (I use Miracle Whip)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
- 1 can sauerkraut (undrained it's got a little bite)
- 6 c. diced (or possibly sliced) cooked potatoes
- 1/2 x cap liquid smoke (or possibly to taste-I use 1-1 1/2 caps) bread crumbs (I use the heals of bread and whiz it in the chopper to make mine) Paprika
- Whiz soup, mayonnaise, liquid smoke and sauerkraut.
- (I use our food processor for this.)
- Mix with cooked potatoes and wieners.
- Pour into a greased 9x13 pan.
- Sprinkle bread crumbs over mix in pan and sprinkle with paprika.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min.
- Tip: I like to use my processor to do the slicing of the wieners and potatoes so I do not have to slice everything by hand.
- Ps.
- We are vegetarian so which's why it says one can of wieners.
- It could be made with meat warm dogs I'm sure.
- I also have Diabetes so when we have this I also make salad so I can eat a lot of which since I cannot have a lot of this dish.
