Mrs. Hoff's Hot Fudge Pudding

• 1/2 cup butter
• shortening
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1-1/3 tbsp. baking powder
• 1/4 tsp. salt
• 1 cup milk
• 1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips
• 2 cups boiling water
• hot coffee
• Brown sugar (optional)
• Nuts, chopped (optional)

1. Mix together butter, sugar, flour, baking powder and salt.
2. Add milk.
3. Pour this batter into a 9x13-inch glass plan.
4. Sprinkle the top with a lot of brown sugar, and nuts if you like them.
5. Then sprinkle on chocolate chips and pour water over the chocolate chips.
6. Bake at 350F oven for 50 minutes.
7. The chocolate slides to the bottom of the pan.
8. Best served with ice cream or whipped cream.
